Comparison of strength and toughness
In comparison with other conventional steels of this group, SITHERM S360R has an increased amount of carbon and it is modified by Ni-addition which improves toughness and increases hardenability and thermal conductivity of steel (tool). This contributes to more homogeneous properties throughout tool volume.
