Ljubljana, 8 October 2022 – Luka Debeljak, who holds several years of management experience, also in SIJ Group, has become the new director of SIJ Zip Center. The current director, Alenka Stres, will retire after 25 years of successfully leading and developing the company.
Luka Debeljak has a decade of management experience, first in sales of cast products and then for seven years in SIJ Group, initially in the mergers and acquisitions department. He continued his career as a head of investment purchase and MRO, first at Perutnina Ptuj and later at SIJ d.d. Before becoming the director of SIJ Zip Center, he was director of procurement at Engrotuš.
The change in SIJ Zip Center management is an important milestone for the company, as the previous director, Alenka Stres, had been in charge of the company since its establishment. Besides core programmes of carpentry, printing, and services, in which more than half of employees are disabled, over the years the company has been developing its professional mission of a disability company with Koroška Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled, which is part of SIJ Zip Center.

The company’s unaudited financial data shows that in the first half of 2022 SIJ Group generated sales revenues of EUR 730.4 million (a 61.7 percent more compared to the first half of 2021), with 84.3 percent of that amount generated in foreign markets. With an EBITDA of EUR 99.4 million, the EBITDA margin was 13.6%, 3.9 percentage points higher than in the same period last year. SIJ Group achieved a net profit of EUR 52.4 million at the end of the first half of 2022.
