SIDUR steel grades have been specifically developed for applications that require high resistance to wear.
SIDUR is used in high-wear applications, making it an ideal material for components in mining, forestry, agricultural, earthmoving and construction equipment, such as dredgers, crushers, crushing jaws, impact wedges, linings for conveying machines, buckets, dumper bodies, tipper bodies, grippers, and protective wear plates. Steels with added manganese have the ability to work-harden under high-impact loads, enhancing their durability and performance, as well as prolonging the machines' lifespan.
